AIX server rules and policies PDF Print E-mail

*No cheating, hacking, using map exploits, or glitching.
Cheating can be described as willfully breaking the rules of the game.

Hacking is using illegal software to the change the original specifications of the game.

Map Exploits is the practice of being under floors, going through walls, jumping sandbags with airplanes and can be defined as a case where a player knowingly uses a flaw in a game to gain an unfair advantage.

Glitching is the practice of finding and exploiting flaws or to achieve something that was not intended by the game designers.

*NO player on the server should wear =TAW= tags except for members of Trans Atlantic Warfare. Joining our forums doesn’t make you a member of =TAW=. If a non member playing on the server uses a =TAW= tag in front of his or her name, they will be removed from our servers and face a perma ban.

*NO Base camping NonCapable Flags-No shooting in or out of NonCapable flags -This includes Commanders and Snipers. Noncapable flags are considered the area in and around the Red Circle. This includes the connecting airfield and all the vehicles that are within the base. Killing enemies, loitering, blowing things up from within an uncapturable base with no obvious intent of leaving the base is considered base camping and it is NOT ALLOWED. If you are there to rack up kills or create havoc in the enemy base. Our admins know it when we see it; you will be kicked for any excessive spawn camping in the opposition's uncapturable base. Loitering with the intent of just blowing stuff up will get you a 10 min ban.
Base camping examples: taking place within an uncapturable base.
* Bringing a tank to the enemy's uncapturable flag. There's no reason to do this. Never bring a tank into an enemy base. Go defend your flag.
* Ex-packing/C4ing spawn points within the base.
* Dropping mines in paths/roads within a base or booby trapping vehicles within a base
* Nading spawn points in a base.
* Laying in wait. For example: Hiding behind a tank spawn with your bazooka or C4 just waiting for someone to hop in the tank so you can blast it.
* Taking up a position in the AA in the enemy base.
* Simply going into the base with your assault weapon and fragging away
* A plane strafing down your plane on the runway is considered base camping. If an enemy pilot REPEATEDLY does this and lets no one get airborne. He will be kicked at admins discretion.
Exceptions to the rule:
* Arty firing from an uncapturable base: An engy or SF going into the base to blow up the arty that is firing away on your position is allowable. Or even a tank firing into the base to hit the arty is allowable. Aircraft can also be used to bomb commander assets. The arty cannot use the refuge of the base rule to create a safe zone for itself. The commander and Aircraft cannot use the base rule to create a safe zone for itself either. If you are in an Aircraft, you can be pursued into an uncapable base.
* AA shooting aircraft from an uncappable base. Infantry or planes can take out AA guns or gunners only if they are occupied. They must leave the base immediately after the skirmish.
* Don’t shoot/destroy friendly vehicles EXCEPT if it is already heavily smoking and it would be faster to blow it up and let it respawn than to wrench it.

*NO teamstacking: Stay on whichever side (MEC, China or US) the server puts you on. Only switch teams to even up the sides.

*No shooting teammates for any reason. Just because you are left without a jeep or plane after you spawn, doesn’t give you the right to shoot friendly’s.

*No foul or offensive language. Keep the language clean. There are kids on here that don’t need to be repeating what they read. The server does auto kick for swearing…sometimes even in foreign languages. Putting spaces between the choice 4 letter words will get you kicked if there is an admin watching.

*No offensive or insulting names.

*No chatting about sex, race, religion or politics. This includes preferences.

*If you have the same IP address as your buddy, please play on the same side.
Playing on opposite sides could be seen as cheating.

*Signing up for the commander position is discouraged until there are at least 15 players on the server.

*Remember- The UnCap rules are simple- - Stay out of the enemy's un-caps unless you are going in to blow up the commanders assets. Do Not fire into or out of a un-cap. The commander may not use the uncap for protection. If a commander is caught using the noncap as a safe zone he will be removed from the commanders seat.
Overall it is about sportsmanship, and keeping it fun to play.
There is a legitimate reason to be in the enemy base, and that is to destroy the commander’s assets like the UAV, scan trailer, arty guns and then get out quickly.
Otherwise there is rarely a reason to be in the enemy base. You can go in by jeep or on foot, but NO TANKS should ever go to an enemy base. If you get into a skirmish while on your way out, that is legit. Just destroy what you came in for and get out as fast as possible.

*As a general rule: If your team holds all the flags or is generally dominating the match, be sporting and stay out of the enemy base altogether. Stealing stuff is a tactic best reserved for the team getting stomped on. Not the stompers. Besides, going into the enemy base when your team is dominating makes you look exactly like a base camper, and you just might get kicked from the game.
